The Sterling is the residential anchor of phase two at Regent Square, the 24-acre mixed-use district GID Development Group has been assembling along Allen Parkway and W Dallas Street. Seven stories of studios, one- and two-bedrooms opened in December 2021 above roughly 55,000 square feet of ground-level restaurants and shops, with valet parking for the retail. CBT designed the building, OJB Landscape Architecture handled the grounds, and Arch-Con was the general contractor.
Windsor Communities runs it, as it does The Sovereign one block east and the older Allen House between them. Residents get a 102-foot pool, three demonstration kitchens, a fitness center, yoga studio, spa, coworking and meeting rooms, bike storage, and about 3,400 square feet of dog run.
Buffalo Bayou Park and the Johnny Steele Dog Park are a walk north, and Underbelly Hospitality’s Georgia James and the Flight Club darts hall sit within the surrounding development. I-10, I-45 and US 59 are each a few minutes out, with the Montrose galleries and the Menil campus to the south.
