Hermann Drive is one of the few Houston streets where apartment windows look directly onto a major park, and The Plaza Museum District makes use of it. The four-story building faces Hermann Park, with the Children’s Museum of Houston a short walk away. Berkshire Residential Investments owns and manages it.
Dating from the late 1990s, it is older than most of its Museum District neighbors and built low and around a courtyard rather than as a tower. Amenities include a pool with water features and a poolside cabana, a spa and tanning ledge, an outdoor kitchen, a fitness center with free weights, a WiFi lounge, package lockers and a dog park. One- and two-bedroom plans have nine-foot ceilings, granite counters and in-unit laundry.
The address scores near the top of the scale for both walking and cycling. Baylor College of Medicine and the rest of the Texas Medical Center are a short trip south, Rice University sits just beyond Hermann Park, and the Red Line along Fannin connects to Downtown. Tenancy leans heavily toward medical center and university staff.
