The Museum Tower stands at the southern end of Montrose Boulevard near Mecom Fountain, close enough to the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston that the building markets itself on walking access to the district’s institutions. The Finger Companies developed it in the early 2000s and still operates it, as it does The Susanne further north on Dunlavy.
It is a small building by tower standards, with fewer than two hundred residences, which keeps the amenity set focused rather than sprawling: 24-hour concierge, a private wine room, a resort-style pool and structured parking. Residences are large for the neighborhood, and upper floors get panoramic views across low-rise Montrose and the Museum District.
For renters who want a Museum District address with a staffed front desk and a short walk to the museums, Hermann Park and the Red Line on Fannin, this is one of the few older high-rise options; most of the boulevard’s other towers are a decade or more newer. The Texas Medical Center is a short drive or rail ride south.
