At the southern end of Downtown Houston, 1810 Main is a seven-story building rather than a tower, a mid-rise on the Main Street rail corridor developed by Fairfield Residential and completed at the turn of 2024. It drew $4.26 million in public support from the Downtown Redevelopment Authority under the Downtown Living Initiative, the program that subsidized much of Downtown’s residential build-out.
Floor plans run from studios to three-bedrooms, a wider range than most Downtown buildings offer. Amenities include a resort-style pool with a sun-deck courtyard, a fitness center with a dedicated spin and yoga room, a social terrace with skyline views, and a coworking lounge with a coffee bar, workstations and a conference room. Pet owners get a grooming spa and a covered dog park, and the cover matters in Houston summers.
Fairfield describes the site as sitting directly on the METRORail, which is the practical draw: the Red Line runs south through Midtown to the Texas Medical Center and north into the Central Business District. Midtown’s restaurants and bars are the nearest nightlife, and Toyota Center is a short walk northeast.
